The Finance Council is concerned with all aspects of parish finance and budget matters, stewardship of resources, church support, and fundraising coordination. The Finance Council implements programs to encourage parishioners to actively participate in and financially support the parish. It raises awareness to the importance of sharing time, talent, and treasure with the parish faith community. The Parish Finance Council is responsible for issuing annual financial reports to parishioners and the Diocese of Joliet.
According to Diocesan policy, members are appointed by the Pastor for a term of three years and may be reappointed for one year.
Members of the Finance Council may serve in other volunteer service roles in the parish, provided such dual service does not create a conflict of interest. No parish employee or family member of a parish employee may serve on the Parish Finance Council. There may not be members of the same family on both the Parish Finance Council and the Parish Pastoral Council.
